Car Insurance Lexus (Car Insurance). Drivers: Do you get mad if some one were to pass you on the motor way?Drivers: Do you get mad if some one were to pass you on the motor way? Becouse, the Other day a car in front of me was going a bit slower then I, So, I pasted her. She gave me a drity look. And she looked pissed. And a week ago I pasted a guy in a truck and he looked mad at me. You know, nothing personal, I just would like to go just little faster then they. I'm not a really a speeder. Dose this happen to you? I don't mind getting passed. As long as they don't go in front of me and suddenly going slower than my cruising speed. I mean what's the point? I cruise 110km/h, they pass probably going 120km/h and then slow down to 100km/h, then i have to pass them at 110km/h, then they repeat the process again. I personally hate getting passed. But I figure it's because I am a 17 year old male. So it's probably normal. HAha not at all...i'd rather they just pass me rather than get all antsy & anxious behind me cause i'm stopping like a mile before the light. LOL i get it. I tend to get this a lot. i have this weird habit, i dont kno if its cause i drive a stick or what, but i always get hella slow as soon as i see the light is red so that by the time i get there i dont have to stop... sometimes it is effective & sometimes it isn't, but whatever the case, i almost always have people behind me either change their lanes, make it a statement to change their lane, go hella fast, & cut right in fronna me ten slam on their brakes, or wave & waddle their hands in the air while as$ f&cking my car making a very bold statement about their frustration. Much of this almost never happened where i used to live (altho i would get a lot of tailgaters) but ever since i have moved to southern california people do it A Lot. i can guarntee it at least once a day & the distance i drive in total per day is about 10-15 minutes. i just don't get it tho cause it's not like they're gonna get anywhere any faster. The light is RED therefore cutting one car ahead is not gonna get them anywhere any sooner than it would have if they had stayed behind me....but i guess i understand the frustration cause there is hella traffic out here & driving even short distances is quite frustrating. id rather have them in front of me than behind me lol. It does make me mad when there is a traffic jam and they cut in front of me then slam on there brakes which then i have to slam on mine. Gets very annoying. Thats when the hand flies out the window and my horn starts honking. If someone is following too close to me i usually will drive slower if im already at speed limit and wave them around because i like my car too much to get it rear ended. You never know when someones brakes will give out. Or if its a toyota lmao... No, because the only people that pass me are those that I let pass me or that are just crazier then I am. Most often both! I have seen this on MANY occasions. Don't know WHY it's such a big deal to these people. I don't mind getting passed they are just ticket sponges the way I see it and sometimes I do see them pulled over 10 miles up the road all I do then is waive and laugh. Lexus . Car Waxing TechniquesThe best thing you can do for your car's painted surface is to apply wax to protect it from the elements. But applying wax is not that simple. For the absolute best, shiniest looking car around, there are steps you should take before applying wax. Along with these steps, waxing should be done with quality products to retain the shine and keep the car protected. Preparing the Paint for Wax Before even thinking about using wax, there are several steps to take to prepare the surface of the car. Use a quality car wash, soft sponge and cool water to wash the car thoroughly. Dry the car with a synthetic chamois, such as an Absorber. Use a clay bar system, such as Meguirs on the dry surface to remove all particles and contaminants from the paint. Spray the lubricant onto a small area of the car, rub the clay bar back and forth, spray the area once again then wipe with a clean cloth. Repeat this over the entire car. Polishing To polish the paint on your car, first look for any scratches in the finish. With deep scratches present, use a harsh polish in that area only. Don't spend too much time on that area, or the polish will damage the paint. Use your hand and a clean microfiber cloth to rub in several different directions, alternating with circular motions until the polish disappears. If there are only visible swirl marks or light scratches, use a medium abrasive polish. Use the same motions and patterns as with the harsh polish, but use this step on the entire car. If the paint job is fairly new with no scratches, use a fine polish and go over the entire car by rubbing and using circular motions. An orbital buffer can be used, but can damage the paint if left in one spot too long. The best results will come from hand polishing. Waxing The last step in waxing your car to a shine is to apply the actual wax. The only wax that should ever be used on your car is wax made from pure carnuba. Use a damp sponge to apply the wax to a small area. Wait just a few minutes and then wipe the wax away with a dry, 100-percent-cotton polishing cloth. Work in small sections, never allowing the wax to remain on the surface for more than five minutes. Also, never polish or wax your car in direct sunlight. The sunlight heats the surface of the car, causing the clear coat to get warm. This can heat up the product you are using on the car, causing it to dry too fast and leave marks.
Lexus . How to Wax a Car So it Looks NewWaxing a car takes a little bit of time and a fair amount of patience, but it makes the car shine like new and protects the paint if it's done correctly. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Step by Step : 1 Pick a nice day to wash and wax your car and take some time to pick out the following items: Car Wash (soap), a Wash Cloth, a 5 Gallon Bucket, a Hose, Microfiber Cloth, Wax Applicator Pad and some wax. Wax can be purchased at Wal-Mart. Although expensive waxes may last longer and protect better, they also cost a lot more and are usually harder to apply. Usually a cheap wax can do a good job but has to be applied more often (about once a month or more). 2 Wash your car. Make sure you rinse it thoroughly before scrubbing so you don't end up scratching the paint. Get every spot of the car. When you're finished, wait for it to dry before applying the wax. 3 Take the applicator pad and put a quarter-sized amount of wax onto it. Wipe it around in small circular patterns until the wax becomes thin and go over the area to make sure the whole waxed area is even. Let dry to a haze and then wipe off slowly and in an even motion with the microfiber cloth. Take the polish off slowly so there won't be any streaking. 4Refrain from applying this much wax at one time Repeat step 3 all around the car. Make sure not to put too much wax on at once because you won't have enough time to get it all off. Some of the area will be cooked or dried on and it will be hard to buff off. Take your time when washing and waxing your car because a quick job won't protect quite as well as a slow, take-your-time job. There is also nothing worse (for me anyway) than a car when the hood is full of streaks from a poor wax job. Take your time and your car will look new. This helps reduce dried on wax and streaking. Spray on waxes such as the ones seen on TV do not work properly and may in fact damage the paint on your car and also make streaks. *step-by-step. The ignition system Once your car has started running, the ignition system (see Figure 4-8) con tinues to provide electric current to the spark plugs so that they can provide the spark that causes the fuel to burn. To do so, the current passes from the alternator to the coil, where it is amplified. From the coil, the current goes to the distributor, which directs it to the proper spark plug at the proper time. Chapter 5 examines the ignition system and the rest of the electrical system in greater detail, and Chapter 12 shows you how to keep its various parts working together in harmony. 247
